The School of Educational Studies (SES) at Oklahoma State University seeks applications or nominations for a full-time faculty position in School Administration. Position is a tenure-track, academic year appointment (9 months) to begin August 2017. Screening of applicants begins January 9, 2017 and will continue until position is filled. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities for the position include teaching master and doctoral level students on the OSU-Stillwater and OSU-Tulsa campuses, in the Oklahoma City area and international contexts; conducting and disseminating educational research in state, national, and international venues; developing a relationship with P-12 practitioners; serving on recruitment, curriculum and student committees; collaborating with other disciplines and organizations to advance education; and promoting ongoing attention to the university’s land grant mission, making a positive impact on the community through scholarship and service. Candidates should have expertise in one or more of the following areas: instructional supervision and staff development, policy and politics, the superintendency, organizational theory, school law, finance with a preference for quantitative research approaches.
Required Qualifications: Earned doctorate in school administration or a closely related field; P-12 teaching and/or administrative experience; demonstration of an area of inquiry that can lead to a record of research and publication.

SCHOOLADMINISTRATIONPROGRAM: The School Administration Program, a component of Educational Leadership (EDLE) in the School of Educational Studies offers Ph.D., Ed.D. and M.S. degrees designed to aid individuals who desire to work in education related positions of leadership, educational advocacy, or in learning-centered environments and diverse contexts in developing skills to analyze and resolve educational issues. The SA program currently enrolls over 100 students. COLLEGE OF EDUCATION/SCHOOL OF EDUCATIONALSTUDIES: The College of Education is located in Willard Hall, centrally located on OSU’s scenic campus. The state-of-the-art facility provides contemporary faculty offices, classrooms, laboratories, math and reading center, and a distance learning center. As one of three schools in the College of Education, the SES employs 24 tenure track faculty.
