The Electrical Engineering Department at the University of Notre Dame invites applications for a tenured or tenure-track faculty position. Applications in the broad areas of electrical engineering are encouraged, and applications at all ranks will be considered.  Notre Dame is located in South Bend, Indiana, a vibrant and affordable community not far from Lake Michigan and a short train ride to Chicago.
 
The department is seeking candidates with a strong record in the mathematical foundations of learning-enabled systems, autonomous decision and control, communications, or signal processing.  Competitive candidates will also have systems-level experience with bio-medical and/or health related systems, IoT enabled manufacturing, smart city applications, autonomous vehicles or vehicular networks, wireless systems networks, or electrical power systems engineering.  The department is especially interested in candidates who will contribute to the diversity and excellence of the University’s academic community through their research, teaching, and service. 

Candidates are invited to provide any or all of the following: a cover letter; a curriculum vitae; the names of at least three individuals who could provide letters of recommendation upon request; a comprehensive research plan; a statement of teaching philosophy and interests; and a statement regarding potential contributions to the Notre Dame community that aspires to respect the dignity of every person, enable all to flourish, and develop students with the moral character to live in solidarity with all, particularly the most vulnerable.
