The Department of Family Sciences housed in the College of Agriculture, Food and Environment at the University of Kentucky is seeking a full-time, postdoctoral scholar for the 2018-2019 academic year with a possible renewal in 2019-2020. Re-appointment contingent upon availability of funding. The postdoctoral scholar’s primary responsibilities include coordinating and supervising data collections, working on conference presentations, publications, and grant writing, and occasional teaching.
An earned Ph.D. in human development or closely-related area is required, and the ideal candidate would have a background in human development, developmental or educational psychology. The successful candidate will also have extensive advanced quantitative skills (e.g., SEM, growth modeling, multi-level modeling), experiences working on large-scale, national data sets, strong writing skills, a publication record, and experiences with grant writing. Candidates with substantive knowledge and background in the field of human/developmental psychology as well as in quantitative, psychometric, and/or research methods are encouraged to apply.
