The successful candidate will be responsible for independently teaching the assigned course(s). This will require course planning, adapting and/or preparing instructional materials, and providing meaningful learning activities that engage and deepen student content knowledge. Sociocultural context should also be considered in the development of course content and delivery as consistent with the professional values of the programs in SERC. The person will also be required to develop and provide a syllabus at the beginning of the class to students that articulates the anticipated student learning outcomes, class procedures, and grading policies. Keeping accurate records of students` attendance and grades is also required.
