  • Program Manager, UB Teacher Residency Program

    The Graduate School of Education (GSE) at the University at Buffalo (UB) is seeking a program manager for the UB Teacher Residency Program (UBTR). The Graduate School of Education is committed to fostering an equitable, diverse, just and inclusive environment. We seek individuals who have a demonstrated history of community-based advocacy and engagement in efforts to achieve equity, inclusivity and justice. As an extension of this commitment, the UB Teacher Residency program offers an accelerated, innovative, one-year initial teacher certification program for individuals who are committed to transformational teaching in public schools in Buffalo and WNY.



    • The program manager will work collaboratively with the Director, Assistant Directors, university faculty, partner district leaders, and mentor teachers to facilitate a range of teacher and leadership residency program-related activities. Collaborating internally with faculty in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy and the Department of Learning and Instruction,

    • The program manager will work in a project management capacity to ensure that new program features are developed and implemented across the year. Further,

    • The program manager will serve as the lead district liaison to all partner residency districts, organizing a collaborative resident selection and leader selection process, facilitating mentor recruitment and selection, and supporting the effectiveness of Mentor Teachers and Clinical Experience Coaches who work with residents.

    • The program Manager will also work closely with the director and district personnel to ensure effective program implementation and that the needs of residents and leaders are being met by the MTs and CECs
