1.) Elementary and Early Childhood Literacy Education (Assistant Professor)
Seeking a Tenure-track Faculty Member to join a team that offers a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, in traditional and distance delivery formats. Requirements include an earned doctorate in Teacher Education; three years of classroom teaching experience at pre-K - 6 levels, that include Reading and Language Arts instruction; demonstrated scholarly potential in areas related to Literacy Education; effective communication skills; strong background in Elementary School Reading and Language Arts, with a thorough understanding of Emergent and Early Literacy; background in integrating Art across the Elementary curriculum; expertise in Early Childhood Education; experience working with pre-service teachers; and, experience with Professional Development Schools, performance-based assessments and classroom and school-based inquiry.
