A Master’s degree (NQF Level 9) Technical and Vocational Education with at least four years of lecturing experience at tertiary education level and/or industry experience or an equivalent combination of relevant professional experience. Competency to teach any of the following courses: Assessment in TVET, History of TVET, Psychology of Learning, Introduction to Teaching Practice, Professional Development and Practice, Classroom and Workshop Management in TVET, Educational Technology, Reflective Teaching and Practice, Counselling and Career Guidance, Introduction to Curriculum Studies, Education for Sustainable Development. Competence to establish professional networks and to maintain links with the industry, as well as experience in developing under-graduate programmes. A credible record of of lecturing, peer-reviewed publications, community engagement, supervision of students (research) under-graduate level, as well as a relevant Doctorate will be an advantage.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Teach, assess, and develop curriculum, conduct community service, and administration. Supervise research (projects and/or thesis) at undergraduate levels; conduct research and publish in accredited journals; source for research or project funding; establish professional networks with industry and universities and partake in Department, Faculty and/or University Committees.
