Job Description: The School of Education, Human Performance, and Health seeks a tenure-track faculty member at the Assistant level for the Exercise and Sport Science program. The successful candidate for this position will have the ability to teach courses focused on kinesiology, including biomechanics, motor learning, and strength and conditioning in a collegial and cooperative environment. Experience teaching diverse populations of students at the college/university level required, as well as an active research agenda in exercise science or related areas.
Required Qualifications: Candidates should have a doctoral degree in Exercise Science (or closely related field); ABD candidates with planned completion dates by August 15, 2019 will be considered. A demonstrated interest in teaching exercise science courses and an emerging research agenda, with presentations and/or publications in exercise and sport science or related fields also required. A successful background check is required.
Preferred Qualifications: Appropriate professional certifications (ACSM, NSCA) and the ability to teach at both graduate and undergraduate levels.
