The College of Education invites applications for a full-time (1.00 FTE), 9-month, Teaching Program Instructor position. This position is in alignment with the College of Education’s Strategic Plan and Oregon State University’s commitment to student success.
This instructor position is 1.0 FTE to teach and develop courses in the Teaching major and will be reviewed for renewal on an annual basis at the discretion of the Dean.
This position is responsible for developing and teaching courses in the Teaching Major, Bachelor of Science degree, Option in Clinically Based Elementary Education (CBEE) program.
This Ecampus program, which will enroll its first cohort of students in fall 2021, will include both fully online and hybrid coursework, and it will recruit students from throughout the state of Oregon. Students will have the opportunity to earn both Multiple Subjects and ESOL endorsements (or in place of the latter, a dual language specialization) as part of the degree program, which is designed to prepare them to become effective teachers of linguistically and culturally diverse students at the elementary school level.
The program Instructor delivers courses and supports development of courses that model the use of current research as well as equity and social justice within course design and facilitation and inclusive teaching practice. The instructor also promotes cross-cultural communication and collaboration for diverse learners.
