Position: Assistant Professor/Elementary Education Reading Specialist
Department: Elementary and Secondary Education/School of Education
Status: (Full Time/Tenure Track)

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities
Teach elementary pedagogy and content courses
Teach program and departmental courses
Conduct research and scholarly pursuits within the department
Perform service activities to include advisement and committee assignments
Participate in structured real-world experiences in P-12 school setting(s)
Attend regular departmental and School meetings
Serve on committees
Monitor and evaluate student outcomes through informal and formative assessments
Communicate and interact with students effectively and consistently
Develop and select instructional plans and materials to meet student needs
Maintain appropriate records and follow required procedures and best practices
Ph.D or Ed.D specializing in Reading
Successful teaching experience at the P-12 level along with teaching experience within a multicultural environment
Commensurate with education, training and experience
Additional Position Information:
Travel is generally limited to observing Pre-Clinical teaching observations in designated Methods courses.
