Freshman Experience Lecturer - One-Year Hire

Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, NJ

The College of Arts and Letters at STEVENS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY is seeking candidates for a one-year full-time, non-tenure-track appointment as Lecturer in Writing and Humanities to teach in our Freshman Experience Program, commencing fall 2023.  Candidates must hold a Ph. D. in a humanistic discipline such as history, philosophy, literature, or one of the social sciences, and possess experience teaching at the undergraduate level, in both composition and the candidate’s field of expertise.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching the two courses that make up the Freshman Experience at Stevens:  CAL 103, Writing and Communications; and CAL 105, Knowledge, Nature Culture: An Introduction to the Humanities and Social Sciences.
