The Counseling Program at UNT seeks a faculty member with a demonstrated record of strength in leadership, teaching, and service to support the program’s professional and academic initiatives. This position will contribute to the program, college, and university’s commitment to maintain excellence at the national level. The individual selected will serve a nine-month, non-tenure-track appointment beginning fall semester 2021. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Part-time summer teaching is contingent on student demand and funding.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: (1) teaching four courses each semester in CACREP core and counseling specialty areas; (2) providing support to the school counseling Frisco Cohort program; (3) providing administrative service; (4) providing clinical supervision to master’s and doctoral level students; (5) advising/mentoring students; (6) serving on dissertation committees; (7) working with faculty members in the Counseling Program and with those centers, institutes, and clinics affiliated with the Program to maintain and enhance the Program’s national stature; and (8) participating actively on university committees and in professional counseling organizations.
