The Department of Special Education, Rehabilitation, and Counseling in the College of Education at Auburn University is excited to search for a non-tenure-track Assistant Clinical Professor position to support our Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. This position is focused on supporting the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, with the expectation that the candidate will contribute to the other programs in counselor education.
The Counselor Education Program area includes four CACREP accredited programs, which include:
- master’s program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling
- master’s program in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling
- master’s program in School Counseling
- doctoral program in Counselor Education and Supervision

This position is an Assistant Clinical Professor appointment (can be renewed annually). The Assistant Clinical Professor will be involved in several significant departmental activities. This will include (1) teaching four courses per semester; (2) program coordination and support; (3) supervising students in field experiences; (4) assisting with program evaluation responsibilities; (5) assisting with program development and curriculum responsibilities; and (6) assisting with clinical placements and monitoring procedure.
