The Counseling Program at UNT seeks a faculty member with a demonstrated record of strength in research, leadership, and teaching to support the program’s scholarly, professional, and academic initiatives. This position will contribute to the program, college, and university’s commitment to maintain excellence at the national level. The individual selected will serve a nine-month, tenure-track appointment beginning fall semester 2023. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Part-time summer teaching is contingent on student demand and funding.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: (1) pursuing a focused line of research leading to publications in refereed journals and to extramural funding; (2) teaching two [2] courses each semester in CACREP core and counseling specialty areas; (3) serving on doctoral committees and advising/mentoring students; (4) providing clinical supervision to master’s and doctoral level students; (5) working with faculty members in the Counseling Program and with those centers, institutes, and clinics affiliated with the Program to maintain and enhance the Program’s national stature; and (6) participating actively in professional organizations and university committees.
