Training support is available at Jackson State University for a qualified Postdoctoral Researcher.
The desirable candidate should have should have strong intent and high potential for obtaining a faculty position and contributing to improving engineering education in the U.S. in the future, and should have Ph.D. degree in Educational Psychology, Engineering Education, Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, Human Development, or related fields with experience research on higher-skill development as well as its assessment, and possess knowledge of research experiment design and data collection and statistical analysis for identifying or verifying the correlation or causal relation between instructional interventions and learning outcomes, as well as excellent communication and writing skills in English.
The selected candidate will join a research team to conduct research projects, which investigate the effectiveness of new instructional strategies for improving students’ learning outcomes in STEM or their higher-order skill development through their education in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics fields.
