The Department of Educational Psychology invites applications for a tenure line appointment in Human Development and Family Sciences (HDFS), at the Assistant rank, to begin Fall, 2022. We seek candidates with either a strong development-focus and/or family-focus. The faculty member will support the integrated nature of development and family science represented in HDFS. Successful candidates will provide evidence of teaching, research, and service work that incorporates critical multiculturalism in an effort to support the College’s mission towards educational justice.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute-through their research, teaching, and mentoring-to the continued development and success of the department and growing the graduate program concentrations at the doctoral (HDFS) and master’s level (Family Policy and Public Administration; Learning and Development). Expected scholarship includes regular publications in quality outlets, professional presentations, and submission of external grant proposals. The successful candidate will teach both undergraduate and graduate level courses in development or family science related courses. Traditional, online, and teaching at satellite sites may be required.

Sustaining an ongoing research agenda in their area of specialization, including regular publications in quality outlets, professional presentations, and submission of external grant proposals and securing external funding at the Associate level are expected. Service on dissertation committees is also expected, as well as representation of the discipline and department via committee participation and other relevant service activities.
