Job Overview
The grant-funded Tutoring Program Coordinator will collaborate with internal and external partners to support achievement of the Ohio Mathematics and Literacy Tutoring Grant outcomes in order to improve student success in grades 9-12 at Goshen Local and West Clermont Local High Schools. This position requires an average of 30 hours per week over the grant performance period (May 27, 2022 - June 30, 2024).

Schedule and location: The hourly rate of 19.23 per hour for 30 hours per week with some flexibility. Hybrid weekly schedule will include both remote and onsite work (Onsite work currently includes UC Clermont, Goshen High School and West Clermont High School. Other local school districts may be added in the future.).

Essential Functions

  • Collaborate with UC Clermont Learning Commons program managers and high school faculty to establish and coordinate high-dosage tutoring programs to accelerate learning gains in math and literacy at the 9-12 level during the academic year and summer school.

  • Develop tutoring support resources and content such as concept guides, review sheets, practice problems, and worksheets.

  • Participate in ongoing Ohio Department of Education (ODE) and other training workshops. Develop and deliver training workshops, presentations or reference materials for tutors based on these trainings. Identify, develop and deliver other training workshops as needed.

  • Coordinate resource allocation for tutors and tutees regularly. Resources may include but may not be limited to printer paper, notepads, pens, pencils, basic calculators, texts, and student access to publisher software.

  • Collaborate with UC Clermont Learning Commons staff to recruit, select, hire, mentor, and train tutors.

  • Supervise tutors providing tutoring services at the high schools. Conduct onsite tutoring observations and evaluate tutor performance.

  • Manage tutoring schedule and staffing.

  • Serve as timekeeper for tutors using UC Flex system.

  • Manage mileage, background check and other reimbursements using Concur system.

  • Serve as the primary contact person with the participating high schools and the UC Clermont Education program faculty.

  • Conduct quarterly meetings with district staff at the high schools to measure progress on grant outcomes and plan for upcoming semester.

  • Collect and analyze participation and outcome data. Ensure compliance with data collection requirements of the grant.

  • Assist with assessment of services and the program evaluation.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree.

  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience
One (1) year of program coordination experience.

  • Experience with online tutoring.

  • Must have subject matter expertise.

  • Knowledgeable of group tutoring dynamics.
