Professor Brizuela’s research lab focuses on children’s learning of elementary mathematics, including early algebra, children’s learning of the notational number system and other notational aspects of mathematics, and mathematics teachers' learning and professional development. The study of early mathematics extends into the later grades as we explore the impacts of different learning environments.
What You'll Do
The Research Associate works in collaboration with the senior investigator in the host laboratory. S/he works independently to participate in or lead a portion of a research project or projects. The Research Associate contributes ideas and suggestions to the research effort, operates independently and publishes papers in collaboration with the senior investigator. This individual may have other responsibilities in the laboratory such as supervision of staff, training of graduate students or postdoctoral fellows, grant proposal writing, writing papers, etc.
What We're Looking For
- Knowledge and skills as typically acquired by three years’ experience in postdoctoral research position
- PhD, MD, DVM, DDS, DMD or equivalent Doctoral degree
