The Department of Education at Tufts University is seeking a part-time Lecturer in STEM education to teach one graduate-level course in the Spring 2024 semester. There are two options: to teach a design-based research course, which has a syllabus and has been offered previously, or to help design a course on sociocultural theories and critical perspectives in STEM education research. The day and time of the course offering will be determined based on instructor’s availability and program schedule needs.
A Ph.D. degree in STEM Education or a related field is preferred, though candidates who are ABD may be considered. The candidate must also provide evidence of experience teaching, ability to engage with diverse students with different pedagogies, and a commitment to equity and social justice.
All applications are submitted via Interfolio, at http://apply.interfolio.com/131595. Applicants should submit the following - CV, cover letter which includes teaching philosophy and experience as related to the proposed courses, and three confidential letters of recommendation. Our department is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and candidates’ materials should address how they will promote these priorities in their professional career.
Any questions can be directed to Michelle.Pare@tufts.edu. The search committee will begin review of applications on November 1st and continue until the position is filled.
All offers of employment are contingent upon the completion of a background check.
