  • Part-time Lecturer in School Psychology

    The Tufts University Department of Education seeks qualified candidates to teach an in-person introductory graduate level course on school-based counseling practices. This course will be offered to first-year students in the School Psychology Program during the Fall term of 2023.


    ED237: Common Factors in Counseling: ED237 is a required course for first-year students in the school psychology graduate program. Students develop foundational interpersonal counseling skills, and explore how school psychologists approach counseling services within a multi-tiered system of support framework. Students also develop exposure to Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Brief Solution Focused Therapy (BSFT) practices. The ultimate aim of this class is for students to develop a foundational skill-set for counseling in schools that is informed by cultural humility and empirically supported practices. This is a required course for school psychology graduate students.


    Qualifications


    Doctorate in School Psychology or related discipline and successful university teaching experience are preferred. The successful candidate should have experience in school-based or clinical practice implementing cognitive-behavioral interventions with individuals and groups at the high school, middle school, and/or elementary level.
