(K-6, 7-12, early childhood special education, deaf and hard of hearing, visual impairments, orientation & mobility)

- Home to the Barkley Speech Language and Hearing Clinic, which serves 5,000+ client visits each year for speech, language, hearing and balance services
- Home department for the Academy for Child and Family Well Being, Kit & Dick Schmoker Reading Center, and numerous research labs
- Key partnerships with several schools, Nebraska Department of Education, University of Nebraska Medical Center, Boys Town National Research Hospital, Creighton University, Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital
- Faculty actively pursue external funding, with submissions totaling more than $28 million and grant awards exceeding $4.2
million in 2018-19
