Her research interests while at Millersville have focused on adult attachment styles and the impact of relationship beliefs on trust and intimacy levels and more recently, cognitive distortions affecting clinicians' ethical decision-making and clinical supervision in cognitive-behavioral therapies. When not teaching or pursuing research interests, Dr. Haferkamp takes time to serve as a consultant/lecturer for "New Choices/New Options" program for single and displaced homemakers sponsored by the YWCA.
