Dr. LeClair's current research agenda focuses on youth counseling conducted within the framework of social constructivist theory. Her work is based on a combination of traditional forms of psychotherapy conducted within a post-modern framework that is considered to be on the cutting-edge for the counseling profession. Her research includes this combination as applied to play therapy, choice theory and cognitive behavioral theories. Dr. LeClair and her students prepare research for publication and presentation at professional conferences on a variety of topics in youth counseling and counselor education. Additionally, she developed and published a Sensation Seeking Scale for Children.
