Dr. Veal's research interests focus on reform-based science education and its impact on preservice science teacher accreditation, student learning, rural areas, and teacher implementation. A second strand of research involves the cross-cultural learning of indigenous students and the teachers who teach them. All of this research is based upon belief systems that teachers have about science teaching and learning.
