My research interests focus on the impact of both individual level exposures (such as traumatic injury and chronic stress), as well as structural level social characteristics (such as measures of inequality and segregation) on morbidity and mortality outcomes over the life course. My studies focus on areas such as military/veteran's health, acute and long-term health outcomes following traumatic injury exposure, how inequality, segregation and other social factors lead to accelerated aging, and health impacts of environmental disasters and mass casualty events.
