Dr. Bellamy's current scholarship addresses leadership and renewal in PK-12 schools, with a particular focus on teacher leadership and the school principalship. As Director of the Goodlad Institute for Educational Renewal, Dr. Bellamy also leads a variety of national efforts to support school-university partnerships that support simultaneous renewal in schools and the education of educators. His experience includes public teaching; university positions as a teacher and principal educator, research center director, dean of education, and vice chancellor for academic affairs; and government experience as a member of the U. S. Department of Education's Senior Executive Service, including a time as the director of the federal Office of Special Education Programs.
