Expertise: Dr. Wagner’s primary scholarly interests lie at the interface of language and social interaction in institutional contexts. She is particularly interested in how interactional competence develops and is displayed during talk. Currently, Dr. Wagner is examining how interactional competence can illuminate the efficacy and validity of interactive performance assessments of prospective international teaching assistants.
