Dr. Gross focuses on teaching identity, efficacy in science instruction and the embedded structures of educational institutions. During her doctoral studies, Lisa examined the spatiotemporal structures of a middle school environment. Since that time, she has focused her attention to the development of a professional teaching identity. Dr. Gross enjoys teaching all elementary curricular areas, but is most passionate about her courses specific to elementary science methods and instructional planning/design. Her love for the outdoors and dedication to ecological issues continue to shape her teaching and research interests.
