Doug's research utilizes quantitative, qualitative, and autoethnographic methods. His main research interests investigate teachers' and principals' professional practices in the contexts of standards and accountability under NCLB and Race to the Top, education professionals' reflective practices, teachers' and principals' collaborative practices, and the development of successful higher education/K-12 school partnerships and learning communities. Doug was named a 2013 AERA/UCEA Clark Scholar recipient for his dissertation research.
