Lauren’s research consists of investigating secondary students' historical thinking particularly around the use of historical concepts and gendered history. She is also interested in researching the potential to use historic photographs as a vehicle for discussing controversial issues in the secondary history classroom. Her teaching methods are strongly based on the use of inquiry and the College, Career, and Civic Life (C3) Framework for Social Studies State Standards.
