Expertise: Dr. Carmack is a community psychologist with a specialty in statistics and methodology. Dr. Carmack's research focuses on the HIV health disparity in African American communities. Her specific research interests are 1) adolescent and young adult HIV risk-related behaviors, 2) community-based participatory research (CBPR) evaluation, and 3) the use of complex adaptive systems methodology to inform risk reduction intervention strategies.
