Erin’s research interests center around implementing physical activity interventions in school settings. Her dissertation Outcomes of Director of Physical Activity Professional Development, examined the effects of the Physical Activity Leader ctraining. Specifically, Erin examined how this professional development influenced teacher’s perceptions of and efficacy toward the implementation of Comprehensive School Physical Activity Programs. Since Erin completed her dissertation in 2012 she has continued to pursue a line of research focusing on healthy school transformations and integrating physical activity before, during, and after school. Erin’s future research interests lie in the application of culturally relevant pedagogy to physical education instruction and within comprehensive physical activity programs.
