Dr. Imasiku’s experiences traveling combined with her degree in international and multicultural education have given her a passion for international education and human rights issues. Her current research pertains to the educational experiences of youth in Zambia who have been labeled as “vulnerable youth”. This research includes examining the multiple influences on youth’s education including multi-grade classrooms. Methodologically, she enjoys participating in qualitative research which included elements of narratives and Photovoice methodologies which help to give voice to otherwise underrepresented groups in research.
