My research interests include school leadership theories, employment practices of Christian schools, the use of technology in schools, and how to train highly effective teachers. Our Education Department was one of two colleges/universities that received a significant grant from the Iowa Department of Education to implement a Year Long Student Teaching Pilot Program. This program will have our students working in schools their entire senior year (along with a few courses in the fall semester), in other words, giving them a year's worth of experience while still in college. I am very excited that our department was chosen for this grant and feel our students are going to be even better prepared for their first teaching position.
