Expertise: Critical philosophy of race; the Black experience of adult education both historically and contemporaneously; and application of Africana philosophy to the theory and practice of adult learning, to the study of anti-Black racism within adult education, and to issues of equity and social justice in adult education. Both historical and qualitative research methodologies are used to explore the connections between race, racism, and adult learning.
